This lab, where we look at catalysts and inhibitors and how they will affect a reaction between sugar solution and yeast. The products of this metabolic reaction are heat and Carbon Dioxide gas. Students are to think of a chemical we can safely add that they would predict as a catalyst and inhibitor. e.g. would baking soda act as a catalyst or inhibitor? We will finish our write ups Monday and perform experiment this Tuesday.
